Get to know me
My name is Ashley. I’m a full time wedding photographer, lover of the outdoors, and an obsessed dog-mom.
If I have a wedding-free weekend, you'll find me taking a break from the cabin in the woods that I call home to opt for more rustic accommodations: tent camping! Camping is my favorite escape, and while I usually won't have service, I can still edit photos from the comfort of my hammock after a day of hiking with my own little Ranger (that's my dog!).
How I got started in photography
For my 16th birthday, my dad gifted me my first camera. As an all-knowing teenager, I was convinced my phone would take just as good as photos. So, I told him to return the camera! Thankfully, my dad told me to keep the camera since I might have an interest for it down the road (plus, he got a killer deal!). Boy, does he get the privilege of saying "I told you so" and he sure uses it!
When I got my first dog of my own nearly 5 years later, I decided to pull that camera out of my closet where it was STILL IN THE BOX! I just wanted to take some quality photos of my dog growing up, so I took it out and started to learn how to use it. This turned into small photoshoots for friends, then running mini sessions advertised through Facebook groups, and even landing a commercial gig for a local business in the pet care industry! I was dead set on being pet photographer until I shadowed my friend at a wedding she was photographing. Suddenly, I was IN LOVE with wedding photography, and the rest is history!
Obsessed with sunsets, waterfalls, my own love story, and of course, my dog.
